The Gibralfaro Castle, built in 14th century to accommodate the troops and protect the Alcazaba, considered for many years as the most resistent fortification of the Spanish peninsula. You may learn about its history in its own museum.
Roman Theatre

Constitución Square
In the absolute historic centre of the city, the Constitución Square, filled every day with thousands of tourists and residents. On pavement, copies of newspaper covers can be discovered in commemoration of the 1978 Constitution. The covers published on 7th December by the newspapers El País, ABC, El Correo de Andalucía, Diario 16 and Diario Sur.
Chinitas Passage of Malaga
If you visit Constitución Square, you cannot miss the Chinitas Passage one of the most emblematic corners of the city. Through this passage, you will access the narrow streets full of live where the famous Chinitas Café used to be. This is the place which the poet Federico García Lorca made famous in one of his poems.
De la Merced Square
Also known as Market Square or Riego Square (after General Riego), is one of the most famous squares in the city. Only some meters away from Hotel Palacete de Álamos you may enjoy this beautiful square which is a home to the Torrijos Monument, a huge obelisc full of history. Surrounded by bars it is ideal to stop by to enjoy some small bite.

Centre Pompidou Málaga

Contemporary Art Centre of Malaga (CAC Málaga)
It can be found in the former Wholesaler Market, it is a museum dedicated to divulgation and reflexion of contemporary art. Permanent exposition in constant development as well as expositions, conferences, workshops and seminars. A place full of live and art.
Carmen Thyssen Museum of Malaga
Less than three minutes from Spa del Palacete Aparthotel you will find a spectacular exposition of Andalusian paintings of 19th century, the most complete one in Spain. A collection of 230 works belonging to the Carmen Thyssen Bornemisza, situated in the Villalón Palace, former noble house of 16th century.
Russian Museum Collection, St. Petersburg Málaga
The ‘Tabacalera’ building is home to the collection of Russian Museum of St. Petersburg. A headquarters in Malaga with annual expositions that will enable you to open the window towards history, culture and tradition of Russia through its art. Slightly far away from city centre but easily accesible by the bus lines 1, 5, 7, 9 and 10 that will leave you only a minutes from the Museum.
Picasso Birthplace Museum
This museum is situated on the De la Merced Square. Inside you may contemplate personal belongings and works of the artist and his family. Another way how to understand the artist and his origins.
MIMMA – Interactive Museum of Music
The MIMMA (Museo Interactivo de la Música Málaga) is a place where the music can be experienced and immerse in its world. Interactive visit with important collection of musical instruments from all over the world and from all periods of time. A space where the visitor is invited to learn through experiments in rooms designed to be in direct contact with the instruments. Just behind the corner of Hotel Palacete de Álamos.
Museum of Malaga
This museum is a result of two former institutions, Museum of Fine Arts and Archeological Museum. With more than 15.000 archeological pieces and extense collection of art, 2.000 works from 15th century onwards. It is located close to the Malaga Park, 5 minutes from Hotel Palacete de Álamos.
Revello de Toro Museum
In this museum the works of famous portraitist and painter can be observed, more than 100 oil paintings, sketches and drawings. It is also dedicated to the figure of religious sculptor of 17th century, Pedro de Mena, since this building used to be his workshop. It has a visitor’s centre with an interactive table and a documentary film with a surprising end.
Imagination Museum

Flamenco Art Museum – Peña Juan Breva

Glass and Crystal Museum of Málaga
